One of Ken's most beautiful songs, "Tonight Tonight" reveals his struggle with depression as our circumstances went from bad to worse. We stopped playing music professionally and I went back to teaching. We used all our savings for Ken to take our music to Nashville, USA, and naively thought someone would like it, but no one even wanted to listen to it. Ken tried hard to find a job after he came back, but by then he's printing trade had been taken over by computers and unemployment was high. Yet in spite of feeling down, Ken encouraged me with his beautiful faith. One evening he picked up his guitar and started singing to Jesus as was his custom, and this song just came flowing out. It reminds me so much of David's Psalm where he cries out: "Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, my Help, and my God." Psalm 42. Just like David did, Ken also decided to trust Jesus no matter what, and ended up being strengthened and encouraged by God's reassuring presence. He ends up praising God.

Composed by Kenneth Campbell Esplin
Tonight, tonight I'm so lonely
Tonight, tonight touch me inside
It feels like a futile walk along this way
There's no comfort in the words that I hear people say
Tonight, tonight everything's dry
Tonight, tonight I can't even cry
When I need to be soft I feel so hard inside
It feels like I have no choice I`m just here for the ride
Tonight, tonight I want to be free
Tonight, tonight won't You be with me
Tonight, tonight just let the angels sing
Tonight, tonight about our coming King
Psalm 42, 63, 77

Tonight, tonight it's not been in vain
Tonight, tonight even though there's no rain
Now I know that You've been with me all the time
Now I know this is the way You`ve wanted me to go
Repeat chorus
Tonight, tonight I can see I can see
Tonight, tonight You've healed me
Tonight, tonight I've seen Your hand
Tonight, tonight in the Desert Land
Isaiah 49:14-16, Psalm73

Tonight, tonight You are so wise
Tonight, tonight in faith is Your life
The resurrection of You will be with me all the time
Your grace Your will is my life for all -all the days
The earth will bow its knee before You
Every creature on earth will adore You hear this song
Tonight tonight 3x
Acts 16:25-26, Revelation 5:13
